Erica was originally trained in New York at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Theatrical dance.  Upon returning to Houston, she discovered Ballroom/Latin dancing and began training in Cha-Cha, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Swing, and more.  Although she is versatile in many styles of dance, Erica specializes in Salsa, and the latin dances.  She has received training from respected coaches like Guennadi Iakounine, Olga Radionova, Corky Ballas, Orlando Martinez, Jose Melendez, Jamie Josephson, Isaac and Laura Altman, and Damon D’Amico.  She began teaching in 1997 and taught at several dance studios before becoming independent and developing DancebyErica.
